Urgh, bad day yesterday

After a really good week I had a very bad day yesterday. I knew it would be - 3hrs driving plus a rock concert was never going to be conductive to healthy eating and exercise (unless you count the bouncing around to the music as exercise lol!).

I came in under my calorie allowance, but it was mostly junk. Bleugh!

Back to it today though.

under your calorie goal, and a one off! log it and move on. today I am having wine and chips and I'm going to relish every moment of it. I've been for a lovely long walk to counterbalance it and I have been really good all week. I'm still expecting a loss tomorrow.

Don't worry about it, this is a journey not a race. It's why we have set a longer term goal/target.

Just make sure you do pick yourself up from this and tomorrow is a brand new day!

I did have half a portion of fish and chips today, but I had cycled for 2hrs first! And it is a bank holiday. Rest of the day was good though, and it is the last bank holiday of the summer...

you're doing really well!!!! All you need is a 7000 calories deficit a week to lose two pounds a week and your settings will adjust to that.
    Cut yourself some slack.

make a choice. Exercise (which you have done ) and eat some naughty food or stick to a calories deficit diet.

    keep at it!

Not a fail by my standards, today went to West Dean chilli festival [near Chichester]

    http://www.westdean.org.uk/garden/news and events/chillifiesta.aspx

The temptation was there, how I would have loved a pint or two from the beer tents, and maybe an ostrich burger to go with it

I finished up with a ham & cheese baguette, which I reckon according to MFP is around 600 cals, so a bit of healthy food for dinner should see me on the road to redemption for tomorrow

My turn for a bad day - burger and chips in a local pub for lunch, but managed to resist the real ale and pudding! Meant to balance it out tonight with running but developed a migraine instead. Proper bad day now :grumble:

Lots of comments and threads on here that help though - generally I'm doing good so will try not to take this too much to heart. Here's to a new day tomorrow!

I've overindulged 2 weekends in a row, as I posted this morning on my newsfeed - last weekend was my brother-in-law's birthday bash and this weekend was a dinner party. and inbetween i wasn't so careful watching what I was eating. Resulting in an overall 6lb gain  So it's back to basics for 2weeks to see if I can shift some of it and get the weight moving in the RIGHT direction

Slugkiller, I am probably in same geographic area as you [North of Portsmouth], on the A3 perchance?

So far not dropped back, but real ale & pub lunch could do it, but I shall try & resist until nearer Chrimbo

Yep, you're spot on with location! I thought the same when I saw your post about West Deen chilli fest - been to that before but too full of temptation right now. Back on track today, 5 mile walk after breakfast and just about to post a loss for Helen's spreadsheet.
