Tomorrow is surgery day! The closest hospital/dr.'s to me that does it, is 3 hours away - I have to be there at 8:30am. So it means taking my kids to my moms house around 4:30am tomorrow morning, gassing up and hitting the road. Surgery is scheduled for 10:30am.

I've lost 17.2lbs since I started my liquid high protein diet on August 14th. All together I've lost almost 30 pounds since I started the whole journey back in January.

I am told I'll be in the hospital 2 or 3 days.

I have two kids - one who is 4.5 and wanted to know if we'll be twins after the surgery, lol. The other is 8.5 and on the Autism Spectrum and is quite worried that I won't look the same/be the same. It's a lot for him to process.

I am a bit nervous and yet I am finding this calm inside me right now - not sure where it's coming from but thankful it's there! :-)

Good Luck!! You will do great and the kids will adjust fine. They are probably thinking that you will come out of surgery being skinny - Mine did, but being as it's a gradual change they will process it as "thats just mom". They may only notice a difference in your eating habits. Keep us posted!!
  • Congrats! I'm totally jealous & can't wait till I lose enough to have the surgery.

The term 'Good Luck' seems so inappropriate for this, so I will offer you 'Much Hope' for an excellent surgical procedure, quick painless hospital stay, and a happy homecoming as you begin phase two of your journey. You will need strength and positive thinking to get you through it all. Wishes for it all. :flowerforyou:
