So I've been eating clean for some time now and looking to expand the list of foods I currently eat.
Tell me some of your favourite clean foods that I can find in supermarkets or health food shops. Keen to try anything... fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds etc.

I find certain veggies taste better if I buy from a local farm...I like them roasted too. I discovered all the different squashes two years ago and I love them all: Buttercup is my favorite but I like spaghetti squash, butternut, acorn...on and on.
I really enjoy Quinoa and steel cut oats.
I started using unrefined coconut oil...mmm. I also like getting 100% organic juice and putting a little in a glass and then sparkling water. I have also started using more fresh herbs...I like flaxseeds, wheat bran, oat bran and wheat germ.0 -
How far have you gone with greens, kale, chard, beet greens Agree on quinoa, try amaranth as well.0

It depends on you I think. I eat a lot of veggies and fruits so I tend to look for things that I rarely get when I see them in the grocery store. A good experiment is to walk around the produce section (especially in Asian/ethnic markets) and pick out something you've never eaten. Go home, read how to cook it and there you go.
I love all sorts of greens but I somehow get excited when I see dandelion greens in the store (more of a rarity) and other greens that are seasonal. There really isn't a veggie I don't like.
I also like looking in bulk sections of stores (especially if I'm a new area) and pick up any grains and beans I rarely see in the store. Millet is a good grain to try if you haven't tried that one yet. Chickpeas are a favorite bean of mine but most people are familiar with it but french green lentils are something I don't think most people are familiar with and is a good one to try.0
