Why plank exercises are better than crunches

Hi guys,

I was reading the internet (yes, the whole internet :tongue: ) and found this interesting blog:

    I think it's true - crunches and sit-ups are putting strain on the back. My osteopath recommended planks as the best way to strengthen the core.

    But then I also find side planks put strain on my shoulders. I can only comfortably do front planks.
