VA 10 miler / 4 miler all HILLS

So this is a big race in our area. Up to 1000+ runners / walkers come. Some marathoners say it is harder than any race they've done. We have some killer hills. I signed up to walk it, but sure would like to run / jog. It is at end of September and I am due to start week 4, so won't be done with program yet.

It sure is disgusting for us walkers when we are only on mile 2 and here come the 10 mile runners on their way back toward the start line ( their finish line). Haha. But also so cool to see these elite runners in action.

So besides going out and running some hills, what else can I do to build up strength for hill climbs. I am doing some strength training at gym, upper bottom and legs.
