Chalene and the women in her DVD's have amazing abs but their Abs are shaped differently then the women in the Firm DVD's....to me their abs are more square......does that even make sense? do you guys see that? Or am I imagining things

I'll take any abs regardless of their shape, lol

I was told genetics, diet and having kids can change the way you look so maybe the thin girls on the Firm videos are kid free....

I agree though....any ab that's firm is better then a flabby one...
  • Don't know about the Firm either.
I would take anyone's abs on CLX, though it does make me a tad annoyed when they talk about that one woman who has 7 kids or whatever she has.
I highly doubt she did not have tummy tuck surgery after having twins & quads! unless she had them early....

To be frank, I think the women in Chalene's workouts look more like real people. The fake look of the Firm instructors has always turned me off (though I'm a big Tracie Long fan); I'm just not striving for that stick thin, man-made look. I want to be healthy and strong. JMHO, of course, and to each her own.

    Who is Tracie Long?

There is the one woman on CLX who is 60. Boy she looks darn good for 60. Then the one who had 7 kids....I'm w/ you I'm thinking tummy tuck.....there is also one on the TF dvd's that has 7 kids.....however I'm wondering if it's not in my genes.....Even before kids when I was stick thin, I didn't have muscle definition.....just tsighhe flat tummy that I don't think will ever come back after 4 kids....sigh

Tracie Long is a former Firm instructor who now puts our her own DVD workouts (tracielongfitness.com). I tried several Firm DVDs and the only one I stuck with was one Tracie led. Other than that, the Firm workouts just never clicked for me.
  • Ya I keep telling my mom about the 60yo on CLX though I dont think she's going for it. Of course she's got a few yrs on her but at least she started going to the gym.

My stomach has always been my weak spot & I def have bad genes on that area. Im not giving up though.

I do seriously think Lean def hits your abs more than other circuits, so Im crossing fingers for a glorious stomach in 2.75 wks :) hahahha
