Light-Headedness
Hi Shelia,
1/2 way through Kenpo today, I got very lightheaded. I did this in another workout and I am wondering do I need a carb before I work out? (I am breathing...I made sure)
Thanks..

That would not be a bad idea. A little bagel w/ PNB or something like that. You need a little fat or protien w/ the carb. PNB gives both. I personally eat a P90X Chocolate & Peanut Butter protein bar about 30 minutes before I work out.0 -
Will do and report back tomorrow. I'm going to try to finish the workout tonight.

Yoga for me today. I have never liked yoga and this was no different. I really had to convince myself to do it. I got through 40 mins before I started feeling mean and grumpy. I seriously do not know how people do this. I need to go chill out and maybe try again later.0

You are not alone! I don't care for it either. I was talking rather gruffly to Tony about halfway through. I managed to get through it, but I did not enjoy it at all. I know it's supposed to be good for me, but I got more uptight the further I got into it. Thank goodness that's over for another week! On to something better tomorrow!0 -
I did Plyometrics yesterday. I was surprised that I was able to do it. I really messed my left knee up a few years ago and haven't been able to do any running or jumping since then. I started working out with a trainer just over a year ago and my left leg has regained a lot of it's strength back. I forgot to put the HRM on so I have no idea what my calorie burn was. Oh well onward and upward. Tonight is Shoulders, Arms and what not.0

Congrats on getting plyo done yesterday, but be careful with that knee! We certainly don't want you to undo all the good work you've done on it.
I totally loved Shoulders and Arms yesterday. Today, they are letting me know in no uncertain terms that I worked them over. Can we say 'sore'??????
Way to BRING IT!!!0 -
I agree with you. Yoga is not enjoyable to me because I have carpal tunnel in one hand and had surgery on the other, so it hurts. On the Yoga days, I do Tai Chi. No floor and I get more movement, but a lot of stretching. There is also videos by Gaiam that is less intensive Yoga. This Yoga actually makes me hurt, so I don't do it...I replace it with something of similar "physical" value.
Just my thoughts... :-)

That's a good idea. My arches collapsed a couple years ago and for some reason the foot positioning is Yoga is difficult. I can do it, but it causes a lot of pain and I have to stop and massage. Anyway I was actually thinking of replacing it with Winsor pilates. I have a set and the main one is about an hour. I enjoy it much more and it is still challenging and full of stretching and working the core. I may just skip forward and ad the balance stuff to the end of my workout.0 -

The important thing is that you are doing SOMETHING! Most people would just not do anything! So proud of both of you for modifying and/or substituting and BRINGING IT!0
