I don't use a lot of processed foods, other than canned beans or tomatoes, but I do have a few favourite products:
Just about every day right now, I have buckwheat porridge using buckwheat flakes from these guys:
http://www.simpletreasurefoods.com/
They will ship directly to consumer and are lovely to deal with. They also have buckwheat puffs if you want to make over your old puffed-wheat squares recipe. I occasionally get "coarse buckwheat flour" at our Superstore, which is about the size of grits or cracked wheat. I just think the buckwheat flakes make a nicer porridge, and you can use them to substitute for oatmeal in any recipe! Say "yes" to oatmeal cookies again!
I usually use potatoes or spaghetti squash in place of pasta (I make rice pasta for the kiddo, and use the sauce for my potato) but there are some other options as well. Shiritaki, bean thread, and kelp noodles, just to name a few. A number of others that you may find at your Asian market (arrowroot, sweet potato, etc.) I want to try some of these:

Oh yes. Wildwood makes a great Shiritaki bean thread!
I also LOVE Sina Baking's Pao Bread. They are little round cheesy rolls made of manioc flour. They are traditionally made in Brazil, but she makes them here in Portland. i have tried others but hers are the best.
I also love Quinoa brand pasta in all shapes. It tastes like real pasta. It's part quinoa, part corn so it's hard to overcook them.
Oh...and Happy Campers bread. The Classy Grains one is my favorite. i don't eat any other GF breads anymore after them. There's no comparison, in my view.0 -
I've looked at recipes for those Brazilian rolls. My cousin has a girlfriend in Brazil. I'd have to make them dairy free, use Daiya or something.
Note that quinoa pasta and the bread you mention are not grain free. We are not looking for products which are not just gluten free, but have no grains at all. No rice, corn, sorghum, etc.Oh yes. Wildwood makes a great Shiritaki bean thread!
