tightness of running shoelaces...

Does anyone else go thru this or is it my OCD?.... I'm new to running (started C25K August 1st and do it every other day and just finished Week 7 day 2 today) and it seems to take me a couple minutes to get my shoes right--I've either laced them too tight across the top of the foot, not equally tight per foot, or too tight around ankle, but don't figure it out till I'm laced up and stand up and start to walk.... Any suggestions on how to get it more routine/consistent so I'm not spending 3-5 minutes tying up, walking, untying, retying,..... I was thinking of marking my laces once I've got them both comfortable with a sharpie at each eyelet but I feel juvenile doing this....

I'm trying to paste a link, I'm not sure if it'll let me... I'm just including this as a really neat little site on how to lace your shoes according to your foot shape. I have a wide forefoot and lace mine like the site shoes. But as far as the laces go, I have OCD issues with how tight my laces feel or don't feel as well. I think marking them is a great idea!

It's not that crazy. If I have to retie a shoe I have to untie and retie the other so they have the same "new tie feeling" lol

I luv the curly laces you dont have to tie. Once you get them to optimal tightness you never have to adjust them. And it makes your sneakers slip-ons. And they can't come untied or anything. The ones on my running shoes are hot pink. Comfy.
