Hi,
I wanted to start this thread to find out your tips on low carbing in the uk. What gadgets/products/recipes helped you to easily meet your goals of low carbing. We don't seem to have much of a choice of low carb products in the uk and the products that exist seem to be really expensive or have to pay expensive delivery charges. My goal is to have less than 50g of carbs a day and have more than 50g of protein a day.
e.g. I find 2 chicks egg whites and my egg cooker from lidl to be useful
What about you guys? Any suggestions will be much appreciated...

Our Admin/Mod Laura_beau has a great thread if you are looking for suggestions: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/389874-wonder-products

Cool-Have gone through wonder products and have listed the suggestions for UK-
vonnywaft suggests Finn Crisp Rye Crispbreads - very thin, very high fibre therefore low net carbs, great for putting hummus, pates or cream cheese on.
Laura-Beau- shiritaki noodles from my local asian supermarket, they are packaged in water and kept in the fridge. They are also known as Konjac noodles, yam noodles or konnyaku- so look out for these names too.
Holland and Barrett sell ground flax seed (also known as linseed in the UK) for your MIM's. They also sell soy flour, coconut flour, ground almonds and xylitol sweetner.
Asda, Tesco & Morrisons- now all sell truvia & stevia (Natural low carb sweetner) as well as granulated splenda and their own brands of low cal/low carb sweetner. they also sell sugar free cocoa powder for baking.
In terms of low carb wraps, breads, baking mixes you need to go online:

Tesco has started selling Alpro almond milk & Alpro Hazelnut milk
Jenro suggested Laughing Cow French Onion cheese on celery
Plain Nonfat Greek yogurt w. strawberries and/or blueberries & 1 packet Splenda
Pistachios!
Ricotta cheese with almond flavoring & 1 packet Splenda
String Cheese0 -
