NSV....slow heart rate!

Earlier this week, I sliced a nice chunk of my thumb off while using a mandoline (be careful!). We managed to stop the bleeding and the missing chunk was really small so I didn't go to the ER. Two days later, I wanted to make sure everything was ok and went to the Dr.
While dealing with that, the nurse listened to my heart and breathing. She looked at me and asked "Do you work out a lot?" I looked at her a bit strangely and mentioned that I had recently taken up running about a month or so ago. She nodded her head and said "That will do it. Your heart rate is slow. That's a good thing!"
So while the scale isn't moving as quickly as I would like, this was great validation that I'm getting healthier - which is the real reason we do this!
