What are you doing to prep for Insanity?? Any tips?

We have about 2 weeks left to start Insanity! Are you doing any workouts/diets prior to October 1st? If so what are they?

    I've been doing the 30 day shred and will complete that around the 24th. Have been running 30mins with my husband a few days a week. The weekends prove challenging for running because our older two would need to run too. They like to sometimes, but not always, they are only 7 and 8! I love running alone with one or both of them......we usually do about 1.5 mi when the kids go, but it is the best time and distance isn't usally the goal. Hubby says he'd like to do insanity with me as long as he's home, so I look forward to working out with him....he pushes me when I feel like giving up. Prob not anywhere ready for the challenge, but I'm looking forward to it!

    Hey! That's great for you to join us (and your husband as well) :happy: and don't feel discouraged bc you don't feel ready bc trust me I am not either. I have made myself a "workout calendar" with a mix of everything I can that I have at home. I go for runs usually 30 min every other day and i try to do my 30 sit uos and 20 push ups everyday. :bigsmile: other than that I am waiting for Oct 1st lol
    I did do cardio abs today but thats just bc its the shortest of the videos (15 min) and im working on my stomach. well have been for 2 years but for real this time im always like a yoyo quitting, feeling fat, then back at it again but this time is different. I am working out and sticking to it! :drinker: i wish my husband would workout with me but his excuse is he works 40+ hrs a week :laugh: which i dont mind he doesnt need to workout much and he speed walks/lifts all day at work.

    today i did Insanity cardio abs (15 min cardio targeting on abs)
    i also walked to the store 15 min away with my 2.5 year old son and carried him from time to time and carried groceries back again another 15 min back. i did 30 sit ups and about to do my 20 push ups. i feel like going for a run though. like a 30-40 min run but im also anxious to shower already ive been up and down everywhere with my son all day since i was off. should i go for a run then come back and shower or just call it a day and shower now? i dont know :huh:

    Was looking at the Insanity tapes last night and it made me wonder what the heck made me want to try it - a moment of Insanity mayhaps? lol

    I have done the first month before with no exercise at all prior and I was honestly fine after the first 4 days.
    The first 3 days were the toughest. I had no stamina but trust me you will get stronger and slimmer in ways you cannot imagine!!:wink:

    I've never done the Insantiy workout. I'm somewhat of a gym rat and typically do at least 45-60 minutes of cardio five times per week. My problem is that doing cardio at the gym gets very boring!!
