I posted this in the general nutrition...but wanted a Paleo point of view also.
I didnt realise how many calories (silly billy me should have put in the numbers before I ordered!) was in the stuff at TGIFridays .
Had the full ribs and fries/chips. But I did plan to splurge which I dont do often but am visiting friends in London so allowing myself a bit of a cheat time.
I ate like frigging 3111 calories! Before dinner I had accumulated about 800 calories. I thought maybe I would be over about 500-700 calories...but not like almost 2000 calories.
I wonder...should I struggle to work out tomorrow with all these carbs in my body (am doing low carb/Paleo) or should I do a day of fasting??
What do you think?

My unscientific opinion:
If exercising or fasting will make you feel better, do one or the other. Both will burn cals.
But, it was just one meal, on one day, in an unusual circumstance. Don't beat yourself up about it. Just get back on the bandwagon tomorrow.
Plus, if there was wheat/gluten in your meal, which there most likely was, your body will fight that battle for you and you may find yourself becoming overly attached to the toilet tomorrow anyway. Problem solved.0 -
I am with caribogal here. Drink extra water, eat normally and exercise your normal amount. Scientifically speaking, one of the good things about eating a binge meal instead of a binge day is that if it was eaten all within the space of an hour it won't mess up your insulin or blood sugar levels much and cause you to store much extra fat.
It is actually healthy for your metabolism to have a nice big meal every once in a while (its what woudl happen back in the day when there was a big kill or a harvest bounty). Chalk it up to experience and and a yummy cheat meal and just hop back into eating normally.0
