getting daily calorie goal

I marvel at the food diaries with 1600-1700 calories. How do you reach the suggested daily calorie goal? With the net calories from exercise, I can't get close and still keep my macronutrients at goal. I ate a whole whopping 1000+ cals the other day and did a happy dance. Oops - there goes my net calories.

I'm diabetic and must keep my carbs low as well as sodium. I've been at MVP for a little over a week ... I usually ignore the net values of anything. I'm still too low.

So how do you do it?

    I am also diabetic and have to watch certain things. I dont try to get to the amount (1640) of cals allowed. I do push myself to at least 1200 a day. I excercise but dont go back and eat those calories, it would defeat the purpose. Sometimes at night, if I need a few more calories, I drink slimfast 321 or eat fruit.:flowerforyou:
