I am doing Week 5, Day 3 today as well. I am really nervous, but last night I just signed up for my first ever 5k in November! Today will be some great motivation and I can really see what I need to improve.

OK so i did not make it straight for 20 minutes!!
I made it for 10, then walked quickly for 4, then ran the last 6. Gonna give it another shot before starting week 6.

Oh my gosh !!! I did it !!! Had intended on repeating W5D1 or 2, but was on a nice straight way slight downhill, so I just kept running. 20 minutes was possible !! Wow wow... still no speed, but felt good to make it that far !!

Well I knew I ran slow.... but didn't think I was THAT slow. Week 5 Day 3... run 20 mins or 2 miles. Went out with car and tracked the 20 minutes I ran. It was only 1.1 miles. Geeeeez to really get to 5k, I will have to rundouble the time.

Not gonna worry about it. For now I focus on tome. Speed and disyance will come. Right ??

I'm with you on that one. I do run very slowly, but I can keep going. I think if I tried to go faster at this stage I wouldn't make it through the session! It's much better to pace yourself, gradually increase your fitness and work on running so that you don't injure yourself. I'm sure we'll eventually be running like the wind!

I'm starting w5d1 either tonight or tomorrow. Looking ahead, I see day 3 is the first solid run in the program. PROUD OF YOU!
