weight decision

Ok, checked 2 stores today for weights of both 20lb and 25 lb - for the start of PUSH on Monday.....
Walmart has them for roughly 18 for the 20lb ones.....and the 25 are a bit more so basically $80 for 4 weights....
then I went to sports authority and they are having a sale.....20lb are $19.54 each and 25lb are $24.something each so basically $90 for 4 weights.....
I then looked at the dial a weight (whatever that's called) and the one that actually goes up to 50lb is $90 for 1.....
so i'm not sure what to do....
My son has some weights that are the 'old fashioned kind' that you put the plates on but I'm not sure how much the bar increases the weights plus they are huge.....
but I don't think i want to pay so much for them small ones either....
I'm thinking maybe buy the 20lb ones and then build up the ones for 25 or higher if I need them......
what do you guys think?

I started out with the ones with the plates and you're right. They're huge and I hated them. Plus it was a pain in the butt to keep adjusting. If I had to choose between the 20's or 25's I would go with the 20's. You'll still get a good leg work out and I used the 20's for some upper body moves as well.0

I have two sets of these:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Gold-s-Gym-40-lb.-Cement-Weight-Set/11089970
They are $20 for the set, so $40 together. I also have dumbbells in 5,8,10. So to prepare I look at what I need for my heavy sets (usually 17.5 or 20) and then set the other set to 12.5. That way I am pretty much set at the start. Also- the little clips are EASY to switch. I think this set give you more bang for your buck. It also is fully repairable (by ordering extra clips or replacing the bar if necessary) with no pins or malfunctioning possible.0
