Angel, my condolences for the loss of your uncle. Your such an inspiration to me this week with the Monday Challenge. My first week on MFP and already feel a part of something bigger than me. He must have been very proud of you. Take care and sorry for your loss.

Just got back from the Y. Took a Butts n Guts class. OMG! I think that worked me more than Zumba. I've met the 3500 calories in excercise. I'm now at 4,020 calories. I've yet to meet the other half of the challenge by staying under on the bad stuff. Still trying to offset the sugar overage. We'll see. Either way, I'm happy with myself. Thanks for the challenge!
  • Yay! I have met and exceeded the challenge @ 4894 calories burnt. I am so happy. Had it not been for a push from this challenge, I proably would not have burned this much. I am also alert with my sodium and sugar intakes as well. Thank you for starting this Angel.

I was so excited to do this challenge. Then I some how hurt my back and went 4 days with out exercising. I am feeling better and will back out there tomorrow and get in one more good workout. I am not going hit 3500 cal, but I am going to get as close as I can. I am excited to hear what the challenge is next week.
  • I'm pretty excited, I actually hit my goals in this challenge. As of Friday, I didn't think I would make it. But thanks to this challenge, I did a much, much, much harder bike ride than normal today so I could hit the goal of 3500 calories burned. Prior to today, the longest bike ride I had done was 10 miles. I did 18 today!!! I am at 3507 for the week, a whopping 7 calories over my goal. I'm also under for the week on everything nutritionally (calories, fat, sugar, sodium, etc). Thank you, Danielle, for the challenge! This really motivated me this weekend. I hope everything is better with your Dad!

  • Oops, I spoke a little too soon. I did go over 200mg of sodium for the week. But I still was under on everything else & I hit the exercise calorie burn, so I'll still call that a victory! :)

    Hey All...

I am glad that I have inspired so many of you! That is wonderful news, it really put a big smile on my face reading all of the posts.

As for my Dad he suffered a stroke. The stroke brought out Vascular Dementia due to lack of blood to the brain. He is in very good spirits, considering. He won't get back the memory he has lost or the ability to piece sentences together. The left side of his body is weak and he will have to get physical therapy. He has dealt with so much stress losing his brother, now this? Just sucks!

As for the challenge, I tried my hardest to make the 3,500 calorie burn. Any other week, I would have. I burned 2,856, short by 644. With the wakes, the funeral and my Dad being in the hospital, it was very hard to focus on myself.

However, this is a new week and I am glad last week is over. New challenge will be posted momentarily.
