Thought I would share a few tips about chick peas....I love them and can eat them straight out of the can.
I don't buy many canned products but beans is one that I DO buy just because they are easier. Yes, I do buy raw beans and make them if I have the time, but who has much of that these days??
First tip is the brand of beans I buy. Look for the brand RIENZI. They are about the only brand of beans that does NOT add salt. Just check out a couple of brands and you will see the difference.
Second tip - Always rinse the beans before you use them and get all that schmaltz off of them.
Chick Peas in Rosemary
1 tsp of olive oil
1 clove garlic
1 tsp finely chopped fresh rosemary
couple pinches of cumin
saute all that for a minute to get the garlic soft
Add 1 can drained and rinsed chick pea
Continue to saute on low to medium heat stirring occasionally
They will start to turn a nice nutty brown color
You could also add a pinch of paprika or chili powder for a little more zip
Allow to cool then store in an airtight container.
Top salads or eat by themselves for a snack. Great source of protein!

Same affect really , just easier to keep an eye on them on the stove. If I am doing a larger quantity I usually do use a sheet pan and put them in the oven.0 -
I'll have to try these!0

I've made ones in the oven and they were fabulous. I used the recipe from Whole Living for Caramelized Sesame Chickpeas. YUM!0
