I work overnights as a supervisor for a cab company. It gets really boring some nights and it gets hard to stay awake and alert. Any suggestions for quick, easy snacks I can take to work with me for an energy boost?

Good question. I try to stay away from sugars and carbs when working. They puts me to sleep. Any combo of fruits and veggies are usually a good idea. I find ways to stay awake without supplements, though. Definitely not something I can do right now, anyways.

Get up and walk around if you can as well. I take it you work in the office, not on the road, right? Stand and walk as much as you can. It'll help.

Yesterday I munched myselfe through 500grams (think thats 1.06 oz or something), well I was really bored and sidetracked, but it is better than chips or chocolade!
But I would recommend less than 500 grams, just trust me on this one *lol*

i don't think you should be looking for energy from food. Caffeine, found in most all energy boost drinks of all kinds, is only going to hurt your weight loss efforts. Most energy boost drinks are absolutely nothing but empty calories anyway.

I find I do best if I don't start shift with a cup of tea or coffee and just waiting untill that last "omg I'm tired" at say 3-5 am to have anything like that. if I start earlier I have a really hard time. I also keep a protein bar on hand. I find it gives me a good boost to eat it slowly over my shift then I count it as my breakfast on here
