Hi everyone,
Just a quick question..
Does anyone know if Chia Bread is good for diabetes??.. I tried a taste of it yesterday and normally I'm not a grain bread person- I was always brought up that only seeds are for birds.. Sad but true..lol.. I could not eat Chia just in the seed form but loved it in the bread.

Any input would be grateful...

Thank you

Don't know about the bread, but I put it on my oatmeal every morning. The oatmeal has helped my glucose levels. I love Chia seeds. You can't taste them, but they do give you energy. You wouldn't want to eat them late at night, or at least I can't. I would also start off with a small amount - 1 tsp and build up. I'm only taking 1 tbsp right now and it is plenty.

How does Chia seeds compare to flax seeds? I've used ground flax seeds on everything from salads to oatmeal.

I don't know about the breads, but chia seeds are great. I consume at least a tablespoon every day. Much better and better for you than flax seeds, IMO.

I certainly agree about them tasting better! I made hot flax cereal today for breakfast....was OK, but there's a certain aftertaste to the flax that I just don't enjoy. I might try again with a mix of flax and chia...or maybe even all chia.

Thanks everyone for your input- I went to our local health food shop today to ask questions and natural is definitely best.. So I told her I would think about it and the more I think the more I am inclined to just eat the seeds ... So will go back there next week and buy some just to try..

Again thanks to you all for the input  :flowerforyou:
