1st week of Low Carb and 5K Tomorrow

Today is day 4 of restricting my carbs to 20 grams a day. I have done zumba 3 out of the 4 days for 50 minutes, and feel a little sluggish within 20 minutes, but I pull through the end of the routine.

A month ago I registered for a 5K that is scheduled for tomorrow. What should I eat before my run, that will help my endurance? I want to stay low carb. Any suggestions on what I can eat to keep me energized on my run, so I can make it to the finish line?

    Good for you. If you can make it through 50 minutes of Zumba I don't think you'll have too much trouble running 3 miles. Just carry a quick energy carb snack with you and use it only if you need it. Good luck!

    Pumpkin or carrots in your meal prior might give you a little kick :)
