Low carb Aussie dishes

So I'm currently in the UK, and were planning on having some friends round for dinner.
I'd like to cook some Aussie food.
One of our guests is Diabetic (= low carb)
I'm looking for some Aussie dishes that can be adapted to be low carb.
(Preferably something that can be made Vegetarian too (I am veggie but noone else))
the only things we could think of are PIe floaters and roo steaks

any ideas?

There is a great recipie for vegemite and cheese scrolls on the weight watchers website I once found. They also have a beer damper recipie - try googling them.
What else, hmm.
Lemon Chicken is apparently an invention by early Chinese immigrants for Aussie tastes.
Classic lamb roast with veg.
BBQ anything.
Lots of salad, if you can get nice fresh produce.
If you can source it, there are a few Aussie brands that do 'bush ticker' condiemtns like bush tomato chutney. Here's one brand I like: http://outbackspirit.com.au/products/
Don't know if it's particularly Aussie, but from my childhood, I still love pumpkin soup.
Desserts (we stole from NZ): pavlova, lamingtons, chocolate crackles, tim tams.
Do let us know what you decide on0 -
Some sort of meat such as steak/chicken/prawns with a simple salad is lower carb
Perhaps even some kebabs with assorted meat and veg? If you're aiming for lower carb just watch the amount of sugar in the dressings and you should be fine.
Enjoy!0
