Question for morbidly obese

Hi everyone! I'm new to this, and hoping for fantastic results! I was trying to eat a minimum of calories every day, regardless of how much I exercise (which I work out a lot each week, 6 days a week!) I never ate back my calories. I lost 20 lbs at first, and then I've been plateaued. Also, I feel weak and tired all the time! I'm also always starving.

A friend introduced me to Eat More to Weigh Less, and I've been studying TDEE, BMR, RMR, etc. I used the calculators and my results are:

BMR - 2,164
TDEE - 2,976

With this being said, I should cut 15-20% off my TDEE, correct? I just want to make sure this works the same no matter what weight you are, even for someone my size. Thank you!! :-)

    Hi there,

We suggest no more than 15%... Please be sure to read What to expect when upping calories.

The body needs at least bmr for basic function. When you eat low calories your metabolism slows way down. Depending on how long you VLCD you may want to consider a metabolic reset.

    Please keep us posted.

no more than 15%, and make sure to take a diet break every 6-8 weeks (eating at TDEE for a week) to prevent plateaus. For every 5 pound loss recalculate TDEE and BMR.

Make sure you take pictures and measurements, if the scale doesn't move there are other changes!

    Good luck to you!
