New sensitivity to skincare products

I've been paleo/primal for about 6 weeks. And for the past week, my skin has difficulty tolerating my normal morning routine. I use Proactiv (benzoil peroxoide) and a Nutrogena wash with salicylic acid on alternating days.
Anyway, my skin went BRIGHT pink after I used these last week. My skin just won't tolerate them anymore. Of course, my skin is also clearer than it's been in a long time, so maybe I don't have to use them anymore.
My question is -- have any of you experienced sensitivity to cleansers when you're doing low carb or paleo/primal?
Thanks,
Adriana

I had been using a face wash with salicylic acid for months before I started low carb this April. As of a couple months ago I had to stop using it because I was getting small red bumps on my cheeks, more irritated than acne/blemish bumps. I switched to a gentle face wash and they went away in days.
Since changing my diet my hair, nails and skin seem to manage themselves pretty well without a lot of extra gunk or harsh stuff. I think it's just another way (besides feeling great, having energy and positive attitude) that proves to me that my body is much happier without processed foods and grains.
My intake of water and healthy fats like coconut and olive oil has something to do with it too, I'm sure!0 -
I never used anything but soap on my face to clean it, with the occasional microderm scrub.... but I have not had one zit since LCing. I used to get about 1 every month or two. My hair looks way healthier... and my nails no longer peel! How 'bout it!!
Enjoy not having to buy that stuff anymore!0
