My hands hurt

Really. When I'm lifting, I'm managing fine, except that my hands hurt.
I'm talking about the area between my knuckles and wrist. It just hurts.
Any ideas either what I'm doing wrong or how I can make it better?
Thanks!

Are you wearing gloves?
Nope. Planning on getting some today when I go to the store.
I was hoping you'd say it would just go away eventually as I get used to it.0 -
I think gloves will help if it is a bit of a stinging redness on your hands. You could always just wait until you get some calluses, they would help a little too, hehe0

I get calluses and they don't bother me too much but what does bother me is my weak grip strength. My wrists and forearms start really hurting when I'm doing something like step ups and holding 5-10 pound dumb bells in each hand0

When I moved up to 25lb dumbbells I started wearing my gloves, it made a huge difference. But it is my grip strengh that is holding me back, when it improves so will my step ups.0
