Hallo boys and girls,
I'm new to the dukan diet and your forum. Today I'm on my first cruse day after a tenday on the attack where I've lost 6pounds yieee.
I've made myself a huge salat witch has everything in it and I was wondering if I have to equal that with proteins or if its ok to just pour some yogurt on it maybe an egg but that's that!
As you understand I'm already sick of meat and haven't even started the diet, which bring me to my next question. Can I have pv for 5days in arow and then have 2days pp OR is it obligatory to do the 2pv / 1pp. And if later this hating meat face suppresses can I try the 1pv / 1pp for faster weight loss OR I have to stick to the same rhythm?

Try the PV for one day and then PP for the next (just alternate days) - you might find it works for you. You don't have to do veggies = proteins, but the proteins help you not be hungry. (well, I found that worked for me, everyone is a little different).
Welcome to the group!0 -
I don't have enough experience to help you out here but Congrats on the 6 lb weight loss!!!!0

I did the Dukan last year and lost 12lbs. I fell off and now I am back. For me I felt pp days Mon-Thur and Fri-Sun at PV worked best for me. I always stay on track during the work week but enjoy the weekends more.0

Welcome to Dukan. I have tried and tested all the rythms and alternating everything. The one that works best for me is 2pp/5pv. I normally do pure protein days on Monday and Tuesday, then the rest of the week I do protein and veg days. I find that over weekends I normally have a slip up like a chocolate bar or a couple of biscuits, so thats why I do my PP days right after the weekend. On those two days I know I'll lose atleast 1 kilogram (about 2 pounds). On the protein veggie days I don't lose a lot, probably only half a pound. But I reckon the longer and healthier you lose the weight, the longer it stays off!0

Something like that luzmidd looks more friendly to me, cause I've already grown tired. I have 2 babies to care for, the one still breastfeeds and I feel such a zombie. I don't know how you guys do it and work out as well, take walks ect... I only want to sleep...0

loTheo, I was actually reading up about dukan diet and pregnancy, as we are thinking of starting a family next year. In principle you will need more calories during pregnancy, but this also applied to breastfeeding. Not sure on which phase you are, but the article I read about dukan during pregnancy was for the consolidation phase, so you eat lots of protein, veggies and extra's: 2 slices of wholewheat bread, cheese, and 1 fruit a day. With one or two pure protein days a week... Maybe that should help with energy a bit? Best of luck!0

My 2nd son is 9 months now so he's on solids and only breastfeeds morning and night. My doctor said that I must snak each and every time I'm hungry on fruits and vegies.
Since I started the dukan, it' been two and a half weeks and it's the 2nd time I feel overwhelmed. I have a cup of milk with the oat bran in the morning and a couple of yogurts between my main courses. I am hungry sometimes but I fight it with water and tea. I just don't know what else to have since fruits are not allowed and half of the days vegies too.0 -
I eat alot of cottage cheese/ cheese sticks when I am hungry plus they are easy to grab and go. Fully cooked chicken breast strips are always good to have.0

I eat lots of cottage cheese too, as it is allowed on pure protein and protein and veg days. Also, I eat a lot of sandwich ham, we have a brand called like it lean, no carbs, so I eat lots of that too. I can't stand the oatbran, no matter how I have it, so I eat bran flakes with non fat milk. I've weighed them up against each other, the bran flakes have the same amount of carbs as the oatbran, but tastes so much better, and keeps me fuller for longer!0

Yea, I know but we don't have non fat cheese here, only low fat. So that leaves me with meat, egs and dairy, sucks........
Anyhow I've noticed that these crises only happen once per week so I'll have to endure but woriking out is out of the question yesterday I went for a walk and I thought I would fall down.0 -

Ok, you are not eating enough - log your calories... there are several of us that are just not hungry on Dukan PP days. I am on stabilization and still follow cruise several days a week along with my PP. If I am hungry I eat my FF Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese or a crab stick. No need to "tough it out with" tea and water. Seriously, not being able to stand for an hour or walk for 20 minutes is a huge indicator you are not eating enough - if you read the book or ping Dr. Dukan on his webiste he will tell you that.0 -
I thought that half of a chicken along with 1kg dairy and a few egg whites would be enough on a PP day but now that I counted it, it's nothing and I should be having at least 1500 kcal with the breastfeeding and all. Clearly I need a chicken coop.
BTW have u seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttdsgyeWer40
