Sunflower seeds in shell - what's the daily limit?

Hi
I like to eat sunflower seeds. eating them in the shell works well for me -
but I don't know how many I should allow myself in a day.
The South Beach book I have says 3 Tbsp - but I think this is shelled.
Anyone know?

LOL...makes me thinking back when I was a kid...and lazy...I did eat the shell sometimes.

Anyway, I see the 3 tablespoons limit...so I would just guess...maybe 60? Thinking perhaps 20 shelled would be a tablespoon?

Now, I am thinking back again...summer and baseball games...David and Sons...eating them til our mouths were raw from the salt.

Found this answer for you...looks like 9 tablespoons in the shell is what you can have.

It works better if I measure them in advance - this helps!

I was going to say that I'm eating sunflower seeds right now ....... but honestly, I tossed the original bag & suddenly I have no clue what I'm eating ..... they are little & greenish ..... I toasted some with a drop of EVOO and a sprinkle of seasalt ..... and mixed them into 1/2 cup of LF cottage cheese ..... it's yummo .......

But I don't know what I'm eating
