Do most of you abstain from alcohol 100%?

One drink per week limit? One per day?

    Right now I'm going for once a month. This is my first month & I drank last night. I have an event on Saturday and I need to figure out how not to drink!

    It seems like we all have different goals, besides just awareness of intake and maybe trying to reduce the amount we drink. For the last few months there has been a monthly goal thread that worked really well for me... I would go back and post anytime I really wanted to break goal... it makes a good substitute for drinking.

    I love having a place where I don't feel judged and can talk about my drinking issues. Personally I started out drinking craploads of liquor daily, then cut back bit by bit, cut out soda, then switched to wine. I don't like that as much, so it was way easier to reduce until I got to my personal goal of nothing. It took months, but now I've not drank for 6 weeks. I stress that it's personal because other people are teaching themselves moderation, or trying to switch types of booze to lower calorie intake, or other things.
