I'm curious to see people's opinion on the possibility that the government might re-enacting the Assault Weapon Ban and what you plan to do in preparation of it. Remember, it could last 10 years.. so I've put a little thought into it.

My friends and I agreed, if they are going to ban anything, it'll probably start with the high capacity magazines and the really large sniper rifle stuff (think Barrett .50 BMG type). I'm thinking about picking up 10-15 extra 30 round PMAGS and maybe some higher capacity stuff. Not sure if I'm going to go for a Barrett sniper rifle, though that'd be pretty badass!

What are your plans and preparations?

    I plan on doing nothing.
The gun shop owners and manufacturers LOVE to put this "ban" fear in the hearts of the American people.
Over the past four years... NOTHING.

As for me, I will hold on to what I currently own.

I honestly in my heart do not believe that the Obama administration is going to touch any current firearms laws.

I don't think Obama is going to do much of anything other than trying to improve his celebrity status.

That was the PAST four years.
This NEXT four years will be building up Biden.

Good god I hope this country isn't stupid enough to vote in that idiot. Of course, we are so dumb that we are going to vote in Obama again so I wouldn't be surprised.

I dunno. I like Biden. He has just enough crazy in him to keep everyone else on their toes.
I mean, lets face it. How close did we come to Palin?

I think a lot depends on current events. If another psycho kid shoots up a movie theater and kills a bunch of people, the president would love to step in, pass sweeping legislation (AWB re-instation), and come out looking like a hero.

Not saying it's definitely going to happen, but it's certainly a possibility.

See my ticker below...the Barrett 50 BMG is sweeeet!!! But pricely...the one I was shooting was my buddy's and he is a few years ahead of me financially...but someday!

As far as the assult weapons ban...I dont think it would happen...the NRA would be all over that shiz...and for most politicians it would be political suicide...However you can never have too many guns or too much ammo...so stock up.

Damn I feel really ****ty about this but for some reason the 50BMG rifles might be something I would be OK with people not being able to get. But that is the only thing that is not currently banned that I would understand.

    Want to explain why?

This. He gave almost 0 time to that part of his answer and immediately shifted away from it. When the dude is passionate about something he pounds his chest and makes noise. He knows it's a suicide issue for him and he stepped as quickly away from it as possible. At least he has signed pro-gun legislation, Romney banned hi-capacity magazines and military-looking weapons in his entire state. And there wasn't a compromise with pro-gun people, either. We might as well look at other issues with these two because on the gun issue, both are weak."

Romney was in a very gun un-friendly state to begin with. I don't think he will try something like that on a national level.
