Hey all,
Am new to all this lifting, but am so keen to get started! I'm doing weights at home along with cardio - but am not lifting heavy!!
So what is heavy?
Am 5'4" (163cm), 121lbs (55kilos) - I have weights at home in increments, but don't have a long bar, just the hand held ones.
What do you guys lift? What should I start with? or should I just pick one and go with it?

Hi Tansey! Welcome!
I would go ahead and just pick up weights and decide what is heavy so that the last repetition in your set is HARD. You can start anywhere and make adjustments. Go ahead and do a set? Way easy? Grab heavier weights and do another. Too hard to finish the set? Drop down a bit.
It's really just trial and error for the first time you do any exercise! And you're at home, so you're going to be fine - no need to be embarassed or anything, just experiment.
Most women like to go up in weight when the last repetition in the set becomes easy. So try it out!0 -
Thanks for that!!
I'll give it a go!0
