Just need to vent and know you will all understand!

My toes are swollen and it just sucks! I have had psoriasis on my skin since I was 7 and at 25 was diagnosed with PsA. I can manage without drugs most of the time but today my toes on my right foot are swollen like sausages, red and hot! Gah!! Trying to do anything when the joints in your foot are swollen is pain to the max but I push and keep it up so that I can keep moving. You know, the whole a body in motion tends to stay in motion. So I push, I do 7 hours of Zumba a week and I aim for 15,000 steps a day and basically have the mantra of "suck it up cupcake" but days like today when I flare for no apparent reason, no stress, no injury, no nothing... IT'S SO FRUSTRATING! No one understands because I don't look sick, because I'm not sick my immune system is just attacking my toes, one of my knees, another hip my spine and my ribs!

OK Thanks for letting me vent!

How do all of you handle this?

At 52, I've had psoriasis for over 30 years and I know how painful and hard it can be. Without sounding like I know everything about the disease I've started using turmeric capsules to help with the swelling and itching. There are different types of turmeric so you'll have to find a brand that works for you. I make my own and have tried several different store's ground turmeric to find the one that works the best. I also use the tanning bed about once a week and I have eliminated Night Shade Vegetables. All of these combined with my meds have helped reduce my symptoms and make the disease more tolerable. Feel free to vent! It helps.
