This is the October 2012 challenge for the "No more late night snacking" group:

http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/1621-lns-fighters

See the description on the main page to get an idea as to what this challenge is about.

As for general tips, maybe we should start a topic where successful people contribute with their stories . We have quite a few who have been helped by this challenge and who have shown us that this can be done! :flowerforyou:, pals .

Welcome!

Thanks dewdrop for setting this up again :drinker:

I'm in for another month. On the whole I don't snack after dinner anymore. When I did used to snack it tended to be sugary rubbish.

This Sunday I am doing my Ultra Race in London. 31 miles (50km) starting in the Royal Parks then off down the Thames. This week I need to eat a sensible amount, not too much, not too little and get some sleep in which is tricky as I start 3 night shifts on Wednesday.

It was my daughter's 10th birthday, yesterday, and I was full by end of supper - with a couple bites of Billy Miner Pie just to make sure I didn't feel *deprived* - YUM!

I'm not too strict on cut off time, but usually dinner won't be much later than 7.30pm so after my pudding (I normally have natural yogurt with berries) I will not eat till breakfast. I do running club on Mondays and Thursday evenings so will tend to eat dinner at about 5pm then just have a protein shake after or the pudding mentioned above, which is well after when I like to eat but it's essential on those days.

I'm at 100% success so far for this  Go me!! Go everyone!! :drinker:

We are a bit of a tiny group at the mo', but its great to keep up with what everyone is doing.

I start nights tomorrow night but its now second nature to me to wait till about 5am to have my first breakfast. I no longer feel the need to eat at 1am.

    Me 2

OK - I blew it. I stayed up too late after posting here and a feeding frenzy took me between 11 - 12pm; went over my calories even the exercise ones - see my diary, its public.

Depressed, but tomorrow is another day, another start.
