One thing I am proud of myself for today is ....... !

I am proud of myself as I 'allowed' myself some leeway on the weekend for extra food. So a mini blowout if you will. And I didn't over-indulge. I didn't go super crazy like I have in the past, just a controlled 'little extra' here and there over the weekend without the guilt! Wow, so good!

staying in a hotel. Got on the treadmill tonight, about 35 min, faster than I've gone before but less time, did a few HIITs.0

....... walking on the TreadClimber!!! It has been awhile since I have worked out, so it felt really good!0
-
..... that I walked on the TreadClimber again tonight!!! Yay me!!! I actually like working out now, which is HUGE progress for me, but I just resist getting started. I feel so good afterward, so I need to focus on that!0

I walked my two laps of the building (16 minutes) this morning even though my walking partner isn't in today. I'd do my afternoon laps whether she comes in or not.
I'm also proud that I was able to easily and quickly ignore my pre-lunch hunger and remind myself I could wait until lunch (right after I type this) for my meal, which I planned for and packed.
I also joined the 30DS group--to start on February 1. I know it's going to be hard--but I am going to do it. I will feel good if I do it--I will be glad when I've done it--so I'm going to do it.0 -
Welcome, bethFromDayton!!! I am so happy that you found the group and posted what you are proud of!!! You are such an inspiration to me*** and your enthusiasm for your weight loss program is contagious!!! Hope you keep posting!
*** I know bethFromDayton from the Beck Diet group we both participate in on the 3 Fat Chicks website.0 -
..... that I am not eating my way through my anger, sadness, and frustration right now!!! There is a situation that is really bothering me, but I have not turned to food to "solve it." That is huge progress for me!!! :bigsmile:0

That's terrific! Way to go!
What I am proud of today: when I didn't get up when I should have and didn't have time for the breakfast I'd planned, I grabbed another 'within parameters' breakfast for myself. I had to take it to work with me (I was that rushed), but it was within my calorie range (and it was good).
My entered food for today says I need to do 206 calories of exercise today to meet my net calories goal. I can do that!0 -
....I didn't eat the donuts brought to our daily meeting. I wasn't actually seriously tempted by the donuts--and there was lots of donut talk as well as some donut eating. (Two people brought donuts today.) When I left the meeting, I thought to myself, "I'm glad I didn't have a donut."
When I do have a donut (one is planned for the future), it will be my favorite kind. I'm not wasting my donut fix on a "whatever is there" donut.
That's at least the 5th time someone has brought donuts in the last 4 weeks. I haven't had one. And I'm glad.0 -
Way to go, bethFromDayton!!! You are awesome!!! :bigsmile:0

...I got up and got going this morning....got my nails done, went to a store I found online and bought a useful sports bra, went to the mall and got new shoes (to keep me going until toe surgery).
...I did the 2nd day of the 30 Day Shred.0 -
What is the 30 day shred???0

What is the 30 day shred???
The 30 Day Shred (often called 30DS) is a workout video by Jillian Michaels (From the Biggest Loser). It's a 30 day program--10 days each of 3 levels. (So you'll see people write L1D4 for the 4th day of Level 1). Each workout is 20 minutes--but it is a hard 20 minutes.
It is SO kicking my butt. But I've done 3 days. My abs are sore. My upper arms are feeling it. My quads would hurt more if I could stay up with her but I'm resorting to marching in place for parts of it. But I'm doing it.
There's a group here for those who started Feb 1 (or thereabouts).0 -
Oh, that's what the 30 Day Shred is!!! I am afraid of ANYTHING Jillian Michaels!!!!! :noway: She is a slave driver!!! Good luck!!!0

Completing Day 4 of the 30DS even when my knee is saying NO! Looking forward to reaching Day 7.
Way to go!
I got up this morning early (only hit snooze once) and did Day 4 this morning before work. I also have already walked my morning building laps with my co-worker. (16 minutes--no idea of distance--we're slow--but we're moving--and we're lapping everyone at their desk)
...I am also proud that I didn't freak out this morning when my pre-workout weight was 1.2 lbs over Sunday and post-workout was 1 lb over Sunday. It's a number. And it's definitely biological (water, elimination) rather than weight gain, since I know I'm eating and exercising properly.0 -
...I walked a total of 40 minutes
...I realized when I went to bed last night that I hadn't planned the week's meals (a Sunday evening task) or planned for today's grocery shopping (which is a Monday after work task). So, I did it this morning before work. A little late, but in time to do the shopping as scheduled!
...I lost and didn't gain weight on our long weekend out of town0 -
bethFromDayton: You are so awesome to lose weight on your weekend trip! Way to go! :flowerforyou:0
-
..when I ate a bit more than planned for dinner, I got DH to go for a walk with me, so I ended up only 16 calories over. MFP doesn't consider that being under goal--but I'm still pleased.0

Beth, you are doing great!0

Beth, you are doing great!
So are you, aubsgg--you're down 36 pounds--that's half of what you want to lose!
I alternate between being pleased I'm doing so well--now at 12 lbs down over 5.5 weeks, and worried that I can't do it, and being upset with it being so slow. Not consistent, huh?0 -

You are going about twice as fast as I was (I'm in a little slump right now- from working in Florida when I live in California the time difference and work are keeping me from exercising and eating quite as well as I like). My 36 lbs is at .5 to .75 per week.
How slow is frustrating, it seems to come on way faster than off. Keep going off slow is way better than not off at all, or worse more on. (I'm tired so my sentences are a little funky)0 -
.......that I walked on the Bowflex TreadClimber for 30 minutes and burned 390 calories! Feelin' great right now!!!0
-
..... that, despite a persistent migraine headache, I have worked out for 3 days in a row for at least 30 minutes!!! So proud of myself! :bigsmile:0
-
I am proud that I didn't give up today when feeling defeated and hopeless. I hung in there and ended the day on a good note with a healthy dinner and great workout tonight! I will NOT give up on myself!!! I can do this!!!0

thumbs up to you!0 -
Thank you, aubsgg!
Today, I am proud that I worked out for the third day in a row! Trying to get and stay consistent with exercise. I so need it and, though I often resist getting started, I usually feel great afterward. I need to remember that!0 -
..... that I took a long walk with my husband!0
