The whole Tim Ferris 'slow carb' thing?

I haven't tried it (I don't need or crave for a 'cheat day') but it seems to make considerably more sense than the standard diet.

His book is bonkers but a good read.

He lost me at the exercise bit, I'm just not that dedicated and don't need to get THAT fit :)

    In Summary (from http://www.fourhourworkweek.com/blog/2012/07/12/how-to-lose-100-pounds/):

Rule #1: Avoid “white” starchy carbohydrates (or those that can be white). This means all bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, and grains. If you have to ask, don’t eat it.

Rule #2: Eat the same few meals over and over again, especially for breakfast and lunch. You already do this; you’re just picking new default meals.

Rule #3: Don’t drink calories. Exception: 1-2 glasses of dry red wine per night is allowed.

Rule #4: Don’t eat fruit. (Fructose –> glycerol phosphate –> more bodyfat, more or less.) Avocado and tomatoes are excepted.

Rule #5: Take one day off per week and go nuts. I choose and recommend Saturday.

This really is no different than what most low carbers are following. The whole "go nuts" I would assume would be the simple of act of carb-loading. That doesnt benefit everyone unfortunately. For me I cant see making an effort for six days only to destroy the hard work on day seven. It would put me in the hospital actually... 8-(
