Hi Steve,
I broke my foot in February and it has been a long healing process. I am slowly moving back into they gym again and wanting to resume lifting. I was doing free weights before the break but there are just too many moves that put stress on my foot sending me back home to ice it. My most difficult move involves lunges. Squats are fine and of course all arm, shoulder, back etc. So, if I head over the the machines...what should I do to replace lunges and step ups?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd simply ditch any single leg training for the time being if that's what's bothering you. It's not necessary.0

You're welcome. I'm sure it's not the sexy answer you were looking for. But it's the one I'd be giving you if you were on the floor of my gym.0 -
Using the machine leg extensions and leg curls will not involve your foot as you would be sitting/lying on your stomach. Not perfect but better than nothing. Using bands for side raises should work. Use the down time to help your smaller assistance muscles0

Thank you!
I will just continue using the machines until it all heals.
