I've been logging the cardio 1 as regular circuit workout. Im not sure what else to put it as since there is no general cardio with medium, light, heavy effort. Just curious as to what everyone else is logging it as

i found the burn #s were more consistent logging as circuit training, but for actual workouts i logged as aerobics, like i said the numbers were more consistent. when i got my HRM it only confirmed my suspicions.

What type of HRM do you use? A Polar one with a chest strap was recommended to me but Im wondering if the watch only ones work just as well?

The watch ones don't work well.... usually you have to constantly push buttons for it to read your rate at that moment... they are not very consistent. The Polars are probably the most comfortable/accurate but I personally don't like using HRMs. They bug me while working out. I prefer not to count the exercise calories and eat them back since 30 minutes a day doesn't burn that many calories anyways. I just aim for 1200-1400 calories or record it as general aerobics and call it good.

i have the pink polar ft4. the chest strap ones are extremely more accurate (as accurate as HRMs can be) than just the hand kind. i love my polar.

I have the same one. It's very accurate and quite comfortable. I found it on Amazon for $60.
