maintenance/metabolism slowed?

For like the past 6 weeks, I've been on around 1000 net calorie diet. I ate way more than that, but I was doing like 1.5 hours of cardio and strength training a day. (like 3-4 mile run, P90X-type workout, intense ab stuff, and weight training). Now I want to switch to maintenance mode, because I don't want to lose more weight, i'm 5'2-5'3 ish and 96-97 pounds....but i'm afraid if my metabolism has slowed or something from my weeks of calorie deficit, and I don't want to go past 100 either.

so basically, when you're losing weight will your metabolism slow down? i don't want to like, skyrocket up to 1500 and then gain all my weight back.

  • Well your weight is likely TOO LOW. If it is you'll probably gain and you should. If you're not on birth control I wouldn't be shocked if you didn't get a period anymore to be honest.

You should get over your fear of being over 100 pounds...you're 5'2 to 5'3 and BARELY at a healthy weight. If you can't do that then I'd suggest speaking to your doctor about this.

All of this. Please take care of yourself!
