I'd love to do a 5k/10k to get started in running (well... jogging is more likely since I'm still pretty darned slow and got a few, ahem... a lot... of weight to lose). Anyone know of any coming up soonish or will it get too cold here? I'm new to Korea.

Side note: anyone live on Jeju and want to meet for hikes?

There are lots of 5k/10k races near me, but thats probably because I'm near a military base. If anyone lives close enough and is keen on joining, I have no problem bringing you on base for a race!

Do you live in Jeju? I went this past spring, the hiking was awesome!!!!!

I just asked the same question. He's what my friend said:

<<In the fall and spring, there are probably a dozen races across the country every Saturday and every Sunday. Search for the Seoul Flyers running club on Facebook or check out this list in Korean: roadrun.co.kr/schedule/list.php>>

So, I went to that Korean site and there were TONS. Not sure if there are any in your area, but it's a good place to start looking.

    Thanks!

Jeju is amazing, especially for hiking! I've really enjoyed it.
