Hello everyone, just discovered this site/app and this group. I've been living in Daegu for about 6 years. Nice to meet you. I'm finding it difficult to... er... feed myself. My school feeds me 3 meals a day but I don't really eat the right portions of it.
What are you experiences with going to the gym in Korea? Do you sign up for the typical Health Club? Take classes exercise at home? I find going to the health club alone somewhat intimidating and I always feel watched...even if that isn't the case. It just isn't very fun for me at all...
Hello everyone! Let's bring this group a little more to life! I know there is a huge thread about weight loss on waygook.org but this MFP community could be so much more close. What healthy Korean foods do you eat? If you are a teacher, do you eat the school lunch with the other teachers? Has your weight gone down since living in Korea?
I'd love to do a 5k/10k to get started in running (well... jogging is more likely since I'm still pretty darned slow and got a few, ahem... a lot... of weight to lose). Anyone know of any coming up soonish or will it get too cold here? I'm new to Korea. Side note: anyone live on Jeju and want to meet for hikes?
