I'm no doctor, but I'd call that hyper. Your T3 is slightly over range too. Do you still have a gland? Or any nodules? Here's an easy reading link:

If you go to http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ there is a lot of information on how to interpret your labs. Plus there is so much more information about the thyroid and the problems associated with it.. There is a book you can purchase that is more in depth too.

I think everyone in this group has gone to STTM for information.

I hope this helps you a little.

well i checked it out and i am still confused, lol a bit of it i thought from reading it i was now hyper but then i read that if the t3 is still low you are still hypo as the normal range is 3-8 and mine 4.69

You need to find out what range your lab uses since they are not all the same. For instance the lab my med center uses the range of 2.4 - 4.2. The highest my T3 ever went was 5 and I was diagnosed as with subclinical hyperthyroidism. And now, without a gland I'm at a poopy 2.2.

ok thanks, when i go in 3 weeks for my b12 shot i will ask to see what their normal ranges are for that lab and take it from there... i just finally feel great after years of feeling like crap.... i hate to think that this last dose was too much and is making me hyper now. i have only ever had my meds upped twice and last time it wasn't a huge change either but enough that made a huge difference in how i feel.

    Hi,
    My test results said:
    T4Free = (9.0--22.0)......
Yours -- -- T4 14.2 -- looks like "perfect" if they're using the same scale.

Me too! Happy you're getting your appointment soon too.
How long have you been at it, to get your meds regulated?
I'm still trying to get mine there too... I feel better all the time, but still cold...
    and "shedding"...:grumble:
I'm trying to get it right, with the "temperature test"... not sure how long it takes for upping the dose to kick in, but I don't want to wait till next month & another test to raise it...

Sounds like you will. A dr that treats you according to how you feel is a good thing to have! I have to nudge mine in the right direction from time to time.

I have been on meds since i was about 22 and i am now 36. I have only had my dose changed twice and never felt good till both times the doses were upped. My dr never wanted to up me for some reason? I had to fight HARD both times to get my dose changed. felt like a million bucks after. This time my dose was changed in july and i still feel great! I have been wanting a appt for about 5 years now but finally in july she sent in a rec for me. I finally got a call today! oct 31 9:30 am :) I still am FREEZING all the time and my hair loss is still there but no where as bad as it was before and i am not no where as near as tired all the time... Since this dose was upped i have found my weigh loss journey so much easier. i think i lost 5 lbs in 2 months and before that i was maybe losing 1- 1.5 MAX a month. so i have noticed a difference in many areas since my dose was upped. I find i feel the difference with in a week of taking a new dose by the end of the 2nd week it's 100%

Ugh! Sounds like you need a better Dr... happens a lot with Thyroid patients. :noway:
Are you on Armour or synthetic? I'm hoping to get the effects in one week, like you!
I've finally got my adrenal meds adjusted, as of today...
I think its been over a week at the dose of natural thyroid, so tonight I'm upping it again. 97.1 temperature average... its up from the 95... so, its coming :drinker:

my doc added cytomel and it really changed my energy. I take synthroid and one cytomel in the A.M. and 1/2 at about 12:30 or 1 P.M If I don't take the afternoon dose I sleep for 2 hours plus 8 more at night.

That's wonderful that you found what helps! The Isocort I take does that for me. You just described my sleeping pattern for the last 40 years! LOL! I'm in shock daily, that I don't need a nap... lately I'm even staying up till 10:30!!! Unheard of !
