If you have been eating "the keto way" since then, you should definitely be back in ketosis. Have you been drinking a lot of water? What about other types of drinks with artificial sweeteners? I noticed that if I have been drinking things with artificial sweeteners, the sticks show i'm not in ketosis either.0

Throw those sticks in the trash, if you are eating less then 20 g of carbs you are fine.0

yes I drink a lot of water.. almost 14-18 cups a day...

to lose body fat means you are in ketosis. Everyone who drops body fat gets into ketosis. Ketosis means fat burning. Get a life and get off our keto group board.0 -
Sometimes "cheat" days like this are a good reset button on your metabolism, especially if you're in a stall while in ketosis. Seriously, throw out the ketostix though. Just eat 65%/30%/5% or close to it and don't worry.0

ketosis doesn't mean much.
Considering you'd likely have to vomit most of that up to eat 10k dietary calories of fat in a day, your body would probably violently expel most of it and everything else in your system. I have an idea. Why don't you prove us all wrong, and drink 5 cups of Coconut Oil tomorrow?Then you can tell us if you gained or lost weight. FOR SCIENCE!

You can actually burn body fat while in a caloric surplus on a ketogenic diet. This is widely known and understood.
If you eat higher protein, you fall victim to gluconeogenesis, which completely undermines the point of a ketogenic diet.0 -

ketosis doesn't mean much.
Ketosis reduces my desire to binge and cuts my appetite. I don't care about anything else.
Although I am starting to wonder if it's helping my moods, too. But maybe I just have more energy to work out and the workouts are what helps my moods. Either way, I'm happy.0
