I was diagnosed a year ago with hypothyroid and my doctor just does not seem to understand the issue. I can't seem to lose weight at all. She keeps telling well it should just come right off with the synthyroid. Haha not happening. She hardly adjust my medicine ever and she keeps my TSH levels at .3. Yes .3. Not sur what to do.

Find a new doc, preferably an endocrinologist, who has some experience in this area. My levels were at one point in the 60's (very high) and then brought down with levothyrozine to about 5. The problem is, as I kept telling my family doc, at 5 (even though with normal range for the lab) I still had many of the symptoms including carpel tunnel in both hands, fatigue, etc. I went to see an endo and she upped my meds and brought my numbers closer to 1. She told me that most of her hypo patients feels better at this number. My symptoms went away when this happened. It is worth it seeing someone who understands this.
