Rash?

I find when I am starting a flare my skin gets super sensitive. I usually am a bit sensitive and need to use natural products on my skin. However when I am getting ready to flare I get hives from everything! I took a shower this morning and now have hives all over my face, head, chest, arms and back.
Does anyone else have skin issues? I am just curious as UC is an autoimmune disease, does it make your whole immune system a bit over reactive?
