E-Meals Paleo Plan

I'm not making any money from this, but there is a Groupon (and they're offering $5 off any deal this weekend) for emeals.com and E-Meals now has a Paleo plan. The sample plan looked decent, and hopefully between this and Amazon Fresh (which I have just discovered is amazing!) I will have half a chance at getting back on track.

Gosh dangit. I literally searched and searched for a coupon last week, and finally found one for 15% off and signed up for 3 months. Oh well. I was pretty happy with the menus that came with the first week. I made only a couple of the meals, but they are things I wouldn't have thought to make otherwise, and it was nice to have a plan. I compared it to paleoplan.com and I liked eMeals better. I debated, because I met the woman who runs paleoplan and I usually try to support a local biz rather than a random internet biz, but in the end I decided eMeals worked better for me.0

What kind of meals are there?0

Here's an example of a weekly plan I got:
Meal 1:
Asian Spiced Salmon
Sesame Broccoli
Meal 2:
Crustless Herbed Quiche
Tomato Basil Salad
Meal 3:
Maple Glazed Chicken Thighs Sweet Potato Wedges
Meal 4:
Pork Tenderloin with Peach Salsa Peppery Slaw
Meal 5:
Mustard-Thyme Roasted Chicken Hazelnut Roasted Carrots
Meal 6:
Grilled Tilapia Fillets with Cilantro Pesto Grilled Mexican Squash
Meal 7:
Blackened Skirt Steak
BLT Salad
I comes with a consolidated shopping list for all the meals. I was able to easily cross off items I already had, or for meals I knew I wouldn't make, and take that to the store. It also lists what staples are needed for each meal, so you can check if you need them. I liked it. Sometimes it's nice to have someone else make the plan. Last week I only ended up making 2 of the meals, but that's 2 meals I didn't have to think about.0 -
I've been an eMeals subscriber for a few months and recently tested the Paleo plan. The food is delicious and mostly dairy free with optional cheese and dairy occasionally. There is a sample menu on their website. Emeals has simplified my life *1000. I recommend it to anyone/everyone.0

So far, so good We had pecan crusted chicken last night (good, but it needed some sort of a sauce...) and will have lime fish tacos tonight, post workout.
So far, having meals thought out means that I order food (yay Amazon Fresh) and even if I don't cook anything similar to what's on the menu, at least there's food in the house. I can't even begin to explain how much of an improvement that is over the past two weeks. Now, to coordinate these two with my CSA box.0 -
Sounds really interesting! I could definitely use some more variety and meal ideas. How are the recipes that you've tried so far?0

Home grocery delivery by Amazon Saves me when I work stupid hours, but I think it's only available in and around Seattle at the moment. I know Safeway also does delivery, and I think Harris Teeter did when I lived in NC.
Cheaper than a personal assistant and MUCH cheaper than sending my husband to the grocery store. I still have to hit up Costco, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's periodically, but I don't go to them all too often. Now if I can just get the pet store to deliver...0 -
I checked and they don't have service near me. But, it just happens that I saw a post on a local mom yahoo group about Mile High Organics... organic produce delivery, plus lots of other local products included. I think the combination of eMeals and organic delivery is a good one. I can see my eMeals plan on Wednesdays, and schedule a delivery for Thursdays for everything I need, and it will still all be from local farms. Worth a try now that CSA season is over.0
