Holy Crap. Running 5 minute intervals = suck. didn't help that I have a cold. Running on cold meds is trippy. Decided to run Sunday afternoon as opposed to Monday at 5 am since a rain storm was heading our way. Glad I did. It was pouring this morning. At least I got through it. Hopefully be feeling better by the next run.

Well done, hope you feel better soon as well, be careful not to push yourself, it does get easier though honestly :-)

We all have bad runs, especially if you had a cold it would suck but you'll be amazed how quickly it gets easier :-) keep up the great work!! xx
  • I am at W4D3 and its HARD!! I think its the shorter walking times that make it harder. I made it through, but its tough!

W5D1 on Friday and that looks ok, with the longer walking times

Well.... Just did my W4D1 this evening and let me tell you, that last 5 minute interval was the biggest "gut check" I've had since I ran Cross Country in High School!!!

Before you think "oh yeah this guys a ringer..." let me say that was 31 years ago and about 60 pounds less than where I am today. (which is 40 pounds less than I was on January 2nd this year) If you are trying to do the math in your head Yes I am old, will be 50 in about 3 months. I will say that the last 5 minute run was probably the longest 5 minutes of my life.

But ya know what??? I DID IT!!! So now I know I can do it again and then? One more time and off to Week 5!!! Yippee...

By Friday I am going to sign up for the Turkey Run on Thanksgiving cause if I can do this that will be a piece of cake!!

    You ROCK! :):)

I'm right behind you.....will be 45 in two months. WAY WAY overweight. Hadn't run a day in my life.

I start Week 8 of this program on Thursday, and last week I ran 3 miles straight on two separate days! This is the woman who struggled with running 60 seconds straight just a few short months ago! :)

You can do this, and if you stay focused and start enjoying it, it will become addictive and before you know it, you'll be laughing at the struggle you face now. I promise ;)
