Hi everyone, well here I am, slightly apprehensive about upping my calories but having read lots and lots, here and elsewhere, about the importance of eating enough I figured it was time to take the plunge - so I've just upped my calories by 300+ and I am a little :noway: about it.
Background - been eating healthier for 50ish days, lost 12lbs, happy with that, started lifting (Stronglifts 5x5) this week and settling down for the long haul - I've got a semi goal of wanting to look good in my bikini next March but am really looking at this as a complete lifestyle change.
And I *think* you guys are going to be fundamental to that . So hi, my name is Nixy and I am very pleased to meet you all.
Although I am sat here wondering how the heck I'm going to eat 1700+ 'clean' calories - I seem to spend all my time nowadays shovelling meat down my face

Hi Nixy and Welcome to the world of eating without feeling guilty:)
You will get used to eat all those cals, even if it seems hard in the beginning. Nut butters are great to help you getting the cals in. Also use whole fat products.0 -
Welcome! And congratulations for realising that you need to feed your body.
Avocados, nuts, seeds, milk, cheese, olive oil and other previously forbidden 'fattening' foods are now your friend. Eat up and enjoy You'll soon start wondering how you ever made it through the day on so little food.0 -
I think I'm going to leave cheese on my verboten list at the moment - I'm still a little scared of unleashing the cheese beast!
It seems too good to be true, doesn't it? But, it makes complete logical sense and as long as I am lifting and walking the pooches then I think my figures are ok. I only weigh once a week and am far more interested in what my body looks like/how my clothes fit.
Oh, and I measured today for the first time since I started beginning of September - total inch loss? 10 inches! Go me! lol0
