Does anyone have any suggestions to help achy knees. My right knee doesn't bother me at all but my left knee is missing some cartilage and it has been not really hurting per say but it aches a little. It doesn't bother me when I run but the next day while I am at work it will ache from disuse (I work in a call center so I sit all day long). Any suggestions?

I experience the same thing. Someone suggested to me that it might be a problem with strength in the muscles supporting the kneecap and the rest of the knee. They suggested exercises to strengthen those. Not sure what exactly.

Ditto. You need to work on those muscles that surround your knee. Here's some good ones :)

    Ibuprofen.

    and ice.

Of course, the old hat advice of a good pair of running shoes from a running store where they analyze your gait fits here as well. If you haven't already, it's time.
