    Week 5 Day 5

CARDIO - 60 minutes today and a total of 165, which means that I crossed the treaty line, made it to Jake's house, and I guess at 11 miles, I'm on my way back to Forks and at Wilson Road.

FIBER - 30g of fiber today, so my total is 188 grams!

    WATER - 11 glasses

Forks fun fact -- As Charlie can certainly testify, Forks is well known for its winter steelhead trout fishing with the Quillayute river system - the Hoh, Sol Duc, Bogachiel and Calawah rivers. Other nearby Clallam, Sekiu and Hoko rivers are also good for king salmon fishing and steelheading as well. Before Twilight, the fish was what tourists hoped to catch. Now, they are hoping to land super hot, ice cold vampires or smokin' hot wolves.

I missed a few days of checking in, but I'm still working on it!

    Week 5 Day 6

CARDIO - 272 minutes (18.13 miles) - I've made it to Jacob's house and almost back to La Push Road.

FIBER - 20g of fiber - I wish hubby liked beans other than in chili and as baked beans. It would be much easier to get in fiber if I could cook a big pot of baby limas and that would be good for my budget too. Darn picky men!

    WATER - 8 glasses

Fun Fact: Skipping this one tonight...I'm too tired for fun. lol

    Week 5 Day 6

CARDIO - 92 minutes today and a total of 257, which means that I crossed the treaty line, made it to Jake's house, and I guess at 17 miles, I'm almost back to Forks to cook Charlie's dinner and keep him in the dark about the motorcycles (or vampires).

FIBER - 37g of fiber today, so my total is 225 grams!

    WATER - 10 glasses

Forks fun fact --For the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyers, Twilight, a modern, rather extravagant, house in the Portland area was chosen to fill in as the Cullen house. The house had caught the eyes of the filmmakers after it was featured in a magazine called Portland Spaces. The house had been designed by architect Jeff Kovel of Skylab Architecture and built by Charlie and Lucy Metcalf for Nike executive John Hoke and his family. Reportedly Hoke really liked the idea of his house being used as the home to a family of sophisticated vampires and allowed filming to proceed in both the interiors and exteriors. Because of his profession, members of the production team dubbed the structure the "Nike House." The Cullen house is supposedly located just outside of Forks, WA

The Cullen house is one of the most disappointing things in the movies for me. Being from the south, I was looking forward to the big white house with columns. I think as a reader, I like it when they take scenes from the books and make them visual for me in the movie. I know they can't do that with all things, but the Cullen house is so far removed from the book's description that I really just don't care for it.

Kathy, I love your fun fact..... I really wanted to see the Nike house when we were in Portland a couple of years ago, but it was getting late, my sister was grumpy, and its in a pretty secluded area, on a dead end street. Making it a bit hard to do a simple drive by! Hmmm which makes it the absolute perfect choice for the Cullen's home. Maybe next time I go, I will get to go see it. Too bad we didn't go before maybe Jasper could have used some mood control on my sis and got her happy.

Friday and Saturday were not work out days for me, so my challenge today is to get the rest of the way to Jacob's house. I have to get back on my normal sleeping routine, work has been super busy, which makes my brain go into overdrive. Exercise is the best remedy for brain overdrive......

By the way, has anyone watched the tv show Revolution? Billy Burke plays the character 'Miles' and he is one tough dude! Coincidence or not, but his niece on the show is nicknamed Charlie... I think they did that on purpose! Anyway, I am definitely Team Miles!

I'v been watching Revolution because I love Billy Burke, but I'm not loving it so far. I'm sticking with it for Charlie's sake. After all, the first season of Buffy was pretty lame too.

    Week 5 Day 7

CARDIO - 0 minutes today, so my weeks total is 257, which means I didn't make it back to Forks walking. Fortunately(?), Mike Newton came by in his mom's Suburban and gave me a lift -- I'll be paying for that for a while.

FIBER - 36g of fiber today, so my total is 261 grams!

    WATER - 9 glasses

Forks fun fact -- I am wearing my Forks Chamber of Commerce T-shirt that says "Meet Me in the Meadow." It's my favorite Twilight Tee. When I was in Forks, the owner of the Miller Tree Inn (the Cullen House -- which looks like the house described in the book) asked for suggestions for T-shirts & bumper stickers. My suggestions were "Forks, WA, Cloudy with a Chance of Vampires" and "My boyfriend is an honor student at Forks High School."

I love the 'meet me in the meadow' T-shirt, I really like the ones that people have to know Twilight to 'get'. . And your ideas for themed tshirts are very good! Like!

I am sticking with Revolution too, for Billy's sake.it is an odd story, but we'll see how far they can take it. I kind of wish his niece Charlie would get killed off, I don't really care for her at all. But she keeps surviving each week, RATS!

Yep, you are going to pay big time for taking that ride from Mike Newton....you know of the ancient saying, "Gas, grass or xxxx, nobody rides for free"! Mr.Newton is pretty harmless, though, he just may bore you to death with invitations to dances. was Jessica in the car? if not, she might be not be nice about it. Of course i am sure you have learned to ignore her ramblings. Goodness how Mike and Jessica belong together! They make quite the pair. Tee hee.
