Boob shrinkage when maintaining...

Hi ladies,
Just a quick background, I hit goal about two years ago, have been maintaining ever since, usually around 130-135 (have been as high as 145 and as low as 120) but feel like i'm doing ok. I'm not logging food but do occasionally just to make sure I'm consuming the right amount of calories, and stick between 2000-2500 depending on how much exercise I'm doing (and how hungry I am). After gaining a bit of fat over the summer (eating fine, just stopped exercising completely due to work), I am aiming to lose that fat again and have started exercising quite vigorously again (about 4-600 cals 6 days a week) this is rowing, circuits, jogging, Pilates and cycling, plus 2-3 strength sessions. I've been exercising like this for about 3-4 weeks now, which I know isn't a huge amount of time, but I'm confused by the fact that the only thing that seems to be shrinking is my boobs! I desperately don't want that to happen!

I know you can't spot reduce, but I thought it might be different as I'm not eating at a deficit (as far as I've calculated) my diet is protein/good fats heavy and I'm not hungry. I try to avoid refined carbs. i'm not sure really what else to try, but I reckon I've lost an entire cup size in the last 4 weeks!

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Sorry, don't know what to tell you as I have the same situation. Altho in my case I was pleased...finally I'm back to a DDD! I have relatively small hips and there's not much to lose from that part of my body so with just 10 lbs to go I'm losing boobage :-)

I'm trying to concentrate on toning my upper body to compensate for the loss of cup size.

We can't really determine where the fat will come from. Maybe that's where you were carrying most of your fat? Or maybe once you lose all the fat there, you will start to lose it elsewhere? I'd cut back a little on the cardio if I were you and see if that slows things down.

Do you know your body fat %age?

Last time I had my BF% checked was around last year and it was at 21%, that was at my leanest though (and smallest of boob! lol) I put about 10lbs of fat on over the past year and went from a small B to a decent C... I did want to lose fat and gain muscle, hence not eating at a deficit and fitting in as much strength training as possible... I guess it is that old adage of not being able to spot reduce... Unfortunately I can't cut down the cardio as I'm in my University rowing club and they push us through some serious cardio sessions... This is so tough, keeping a bit of flab so I can have boobs, or going back to a training bra so I can be lean! Pah!

unfortunately it's inevitable for us to lose some boobs, (except for a very few lucky ones) When this happened to me i have to admit it really did mess with my mind alot, i felt less feminine and unattractive and i was really not happy about it at all.
Fortunately for me my partner helped me through it by constantly telling me that my body is in proportion and although they're smaller, they fit with everything else being smaller. It took a while to get used to but i think ive finally gotten over the fact that unless they're fake or i put on fat, they're staying this size.

i don't think there is anything you can do about it. when i'm drinking and going out, mine balloon up to almost a C cup. but when i'm working out doing lots of cardio, they shrink down to a full A.

like sash said though, my hips are smaller too, so it seems proportionate.

i would avoid a low-fat diet, just make sure you get plenty of healthy fats. i went low-fat for a while and they really got small.

I've lost 15 lbs over the last 3 months and I've gone from a 36C to a 34B....sucks but at least they look perky. Small price to pay for being smaller everywhere though I think.
