weight loss

Hey I've been doing crossfit since May and we just started a Paleo nutrition challenge with Lurong which last about 9wks. I've been doing pretty good with a few minor jumps off the wagon. My thing is I'm not losing any weight at all. I've got lots of definition starting to show so that's a plus. I'm very happy with how I feel, my muscle definition and my performance at Crossfit but would like the scale to move just a lil bit. I know the scale is not the tale all end all tho. Thanks, any suggestions and advice is welcomed. Oh i have cut way back on my nut/seed comsumption as I was eatting way too many.

My advice would be switch to chicken and fish for a while. It's a learner meat which should make you consume less calories. Also green veggies and eggs are great fat burners :)

I did a strict paleo challenge back when I was also doing crossfit and even with fairly strict Paleo I really had to watch my carbs in order to see anything on the scale...it meant very little fruit ( mainly 1/2 cup of berries) and no higher carb veggies (like sweet potatos). I only lost about 5 lbs in 5 weeks time but I lost some inches.

I wouldn't focus to much of scale - especially if you are doing crossfit - the constant breaking and repairing of muscles is going to cause your body to retain a certain amount of water to aid in the repair of those muscles so going with something like a pair of pants or a certain shirt and checking on the fit - I know I have actually gained a few pounds over the past few months but I pulled out some shorts in prep for a trip to Fl in a few days and they fit better now then they did when I was 5 lbs less...so even though the scale makes me angry it helps to know all the exercise and nutrition is doing something to my body, even if I don't really "see" it...
